Tools: Sync and Share with the New Plaxo
Sam HarrelsonAffiliate Lifestyle, Tools, web2.0 June 25th, 2007WebWorkerDaily has the run down on the latest version of Plaxo. The changes certainly look promising if you’re using platforms which sync with the service (Google Calendar, Outlook, LinkedIn Premium). Alas, no GMail sync yet…
Plaxo has finally lifted the veil on Plaxo 3, opening their new interface and strategy to the world for public beta testing.
If nothing else, Plaxo is one of the biggest from-evil-to-useful stories around. As Plaxo VP of Marketing John McCrea says in an interview with Robert Scoble, they’ve moved away from their “overly viral” focus to a model focused on sync and sharing.

Hey Sam -
Have you tried it? My Outlook is still packed with the birthdays of people I barely knew from the last time I tired Plaxo.
The Plaxo name has a negative connotation to me from the past “viral” efforts.
If I were them, I’d change the name with this new iteration.
