Tips: Which Affiliate Marketing Forum is Right for You?
Sam HarrelsonAffiliate Lifestyle, Forums, Tips May 25th, 2007There are a number of forums out there which specifically deal with affiliate marketing. Forums can be a great resource for new affiliates to learn and network, and for veteran affiliates to share knowledge and gather new strategies.
Here are a few of the many forums out there:
- WickedFire
- Earner’s Forum
- WebProWorld
- 5Star Affiliate Marketing Forum
- Affiliates4U (UK/European Forum)
- RevenueSource
- ClicksConsultants
- WebMasterWorld
If you’re not involved in a forum somewhere, you should be.
Which forums do you prefer? Any that I left out that you actively use?

Just found a post on Dosh Dosh that covers similar territory and is a nice overview of a few of the other forums out there. Definitely check out that post.

No Abestweb in the list?

I personally like A Best Web the best in terms of all around experience. I am active in all of them except for ClicksConsultants and Affiliates4U

Abestweb.com

I really do respect and love some of the people on ABW, but I’m not too crazy about the ruler there, so I didn’t include it on the list.

Well then this list comes off as petty to be honest with you. It is a great forum. If you do mainstream affiliate marketing, it’s clearly the #1 affiliate marketing forum. I’ve said it before, there is a reason networks post there, top and new affiliates, affiliate managers, merchants etc.

That’s why I asked for suggestions… what you think is a great forum for people might be different than what I think (for various reasons), but that’s what makes the world go ’round.

If you made a list of the top search engines and it went like:
Yahoo
MSN
Ask.com
and you left Google off the list because you had a problem with Sergey, you’re not making Google look bad.

I’m not trying to make Haiko or ABW look bad, though. I’m just asking what people thought were the best forums for affiliate marketers.

I’m just being honest with you, you’re being petty, read your post #5
“I really do respect and love some of the people on ABW, but I’m not too crazy about the ruler there, so I didn’t include it on the list.”
You just said why you left it off the list right there. There are other posts of yours saying how you liked ABW on your own blog. If you’re going to have a best of list, you should always try to be objective.

I posted a good deal about ABW and my love for the community and people there before on CostPerNews. I’m sure some people get a great deal out of ABW and that’s why I asked for recommendations.
I’m sure some people get a great deal out of other forums that you or I haven’t mention as well. I don’t see where objectivity is key on a post where I ask for recommendations.
I just have a different opinion of whether or not ABW is a beneficial forum for me based on the interactions that I’ve had recently with Haiko there. But that doesn’t mean it’s not a beneficial forum for you or others.

“I just have a different opinion of whether or not ABW is a beneficial forum for me based on the interactions that I’ve had recently with Haiko there.”
So with that reasoning if I have an issue with a Revenews blogger, then the rest of Revenews is not worth my time and not beneficial? A forum is going to have lots of different people, you’re not going to get along with everybody, that’s just natural. And just because you might not get along with one person, doesn’t void the rest of it. But to each his own.
As far as the others, I’ve checked every one out that I know of. I’ve always read around and posted in lots of them. And because what I do is pretty mainstream affiliate marketing, ABW is the best for me. They’re all a little different, some with different focuses. Some more on CPA, some are Clickbank heavy, ebook heavy, blackhat left and right. So a lot of that I have 0 interest but it’s of interest to others.

It wasn’t just a blogger or forum member, Jonathan (and you know that). It would have been as if Jim Kukral, or now myself, would have made you feel VERY unwelcome on ReveNews after you had continually sang its praises and said nothing but good things (and even attempted to moderate a forum) about the site on your own blog.
Again, if you get something out of the forum, then please share it (as you’ve done). There are some terrific people there.

This is news to me … I haven’t visited abw in a while, you’re no longer moderating the web 2.0 forum there (and had an argument with haiko)?
Anyway, I might as well also suggest BumpZee’s affiliate marketing community - now that the zees have become forumish and has a few interesting discussions going on (and I am sure it’s going to take off as an alternative affiliate marketing forum - especially for those experimenting affiliate marketing using the social media/web 2.0 etc) as in any internet marketing forum on the list.

The main forum/discussions sites I visit are ABW, 5 Star and as said by Pranav, it’s got very discussion focused too, BumpZee.
