New Weekend Editor
Sam HarrelsonNews and Updates May 30th, 2007Ashley Jones will be coming on board here as the regular “Weekend Editor” and also contributing a few articles during the week.
She’s keeping the North Carolina flavor of Affiliate Fortune Cookies as she currently resides just outside of Charlotte, NC. After a successful career in law and business consulting, she decided to take on the role of an affiliate marketer a few months ago and has had a good deal of success in her short time working in the industry.
Ashley also has a very interesting (and practical) viewpoint on the world of affiliate marketing, so she should be a great counter to my more web2.0 based theoretical mindset. We’ll see how that dynamic works out!
We are also trying to work out a way for her to get to Miami for the Affiliate Summit in July, so hopefully you all will have the chance to meet her. Who needs a family vacation in the Catskills during that week??
Additionally, her email address is ashley@affiliatefortunecookies.com.
Welcome aboard, Ashley!

Congrats -
“Ashley also has a very interesting (and practical) viewpoint on the world of affiliate marketing,”
That’s more like it
That’s what I’m always trying to get at. There’s lots of new and interesting things out there but I’m always trying to figure out how I can actually use it or how it will work with what I’m doing.

Yep, couldn’t agree with you more, Jonathan. I know my limitations (well, some of them), and one of the biggest is my inability to be practical. Sometimes I feel as if I’m adequately communicating how something out there like Twitter can be practical and useful to someone like an affiliate marketer, but I often fall short of that goal!
So, based on the conversations I’ve had with Ashley over the last two weeks, I can definitely promise that she’ll be kicking my butt and reigning me in when I go on my rocketman web2.0 journeys.
I should probably make another feed available here for just her posts on the weekends and during the week because they will be so much more helpful on a practical level than mine!
