For episode 50, how about a Sci-Fi spin? You have that Sci-Fi site that you want to do something with, so how about you run down all the different ways to set it up and monetize? You could approach it as someone with a great niche idea and now wants to know how to learn how affiliate marketing could be used to add value for visitors.

You should do a call in show for episode 50. If that’s not something you can set up before tomorrow lol then a video tour of your office and the rest of the podcast recorded while the camera points at a beautiful scene out your window we can all drool over!

I think everyone gets the research, create good content and monitize. Where I always and I mean always get stuck is traffic.
For example, I have/had several sites that have/had decent conversion rates. But, their traffic just stinks. Outside of PPC, what’s the secret to building a high volume site?

An interesting topic for Spring/Easter would be renewal of focus and mission. What should you do after you realize what you started isn’t working? How to re-focus on a new niche or method of using all the tools out there.

I listened to your podcast yesterday and I appreciate how you took the “your story” format. That makes it more real and is came across as less of an insider speaker.
As mentioned above it would be good for you to do video for the 50th. You have been talking about it but also you could use the video to expand on what you talked about on Thursday. Have you heard of the the new application for OSX called, ScreenFlow?

I think they should have an affiliate program if they don’t already. I definitely plan on getting it.

Hey Patrick-
Yep, I love ScreenFlow and have been trying to think of a way to integrate it with the show here. Good idea!

That’s all there is to it? That’s crazy! Really. I say that because I have spent the last few years learning how to blog, how to set up a blog, and, for the last couple of years, getting paid to customize WordPress blogs. I’m a member of at least 25 to 30 affiliate networks, also, and somehow I’ve never put this all together. I’ve been thinking that affiliate marketing is somehow this complicated magical process involving all sorts of high level marketing wizardry. Now I see how easy the underlying process CAN be. I know there is still a ton to learn, but I didn’t know the idea of affiliate marketing could be this easy.
Thank you for making this so clear. I’ve asked a few people in the last couple of months how to get started in affiliate marketing, but never received any real answer. I thought it was some big secret and I wouldn’t be able to learn until I was initiated into the SSoAM (Secret Society of Affiliate Marketers). Now I know I can be a content producer AND use affiliate marketing.
Now to go listen to #50!

Thanks so much for your comment, Chris. That’s it! No special magic. Just hard work and doing your homework!

I do recall that comment Sam.
I think you e-mailed then sent an ICQ…
