Thanks for the twitter tips. I finally signed up yesterday evening to see what all the fuss is about. I’ll try the IM front end trick. I’m NC-born and bred too but don’t have much interest in nascar, although my wife, who’s originally from NY is all about it!

Thanks for the kind words, Kevin! Honestly, I think track with GTalk is THE way to use Twitter. Otherwise, it’s another social network.

Sam — getting followed by Pandora during the podcast is a perfect example of a brand using the track function of Twitter.
Prior to the podcast you had just tweeted about your pandora preferences .. they were aware through tracking and reached out to follow you.
EVERY brand today should start tracking so that they can hear what is being said about them - and open some dialogues. It’s as essential now as the old clipping services were for PR - only better.
