Google raises the bar for access to its AdSense API.

What does this mean for other "small time" publishers (developers) on other platforms?

"Google has raised the required minimum traffic limit for publishers who wish to use its AdSense API to 100,000 page views per day. The AdSense API was introduced in March as a way for sites with user generated content to share advertising revenue with their members.

Vlad has taken (what I think is the correct) step in removing PayPerPost from his blog due to its inability to convert unless you have a large subscriberbase and Alexa ranking (even though we all know how worthless Alexa rankings are becoming).

Should you follow Vlad’s lead?  I think so…

From the affiliate point of view my merchant simply cant convert. I do not pretend to have send them and army of bloggers, according to the statistics in my account I have referred them only 8 bloggers since April. However all of them are still listed as pending.

Feeds and subscriber stats are now included in Google’s always handy Webmaster Tools.

Google’s Webmaster tools keeps getting better and better as more features are rolled out. Aside from the new look of the webmaster tools interface which was recently introduced, the webmaster tools now tracks subscriber statistics of every blog that users listed in their respectective accounts. The subscriber statistics tracks down all subscription made to blog feeds of enrolled sites, using the different Google services such as iGoogle, Reader and Orkut.

If you need a reason to buy a .tv domain, Flip camera and start utilizing YouTube in your campaigns… here you go:

People in the U.S. have steadily increased the amount of time they spend watching videos online, as Google’s YouTube remains by far their preferred video site, according to a study.

In July, almost 75 percent of U.S. Internet users watched videos online, up from 71.4 percent in March, according to comScore Networks.

The monthly time spent watching videos went up to an average of 181 minutes per viewer in July from 145 minutes per viewer in March, according to comScore.
